COLD & FLU SEASON IS HERE!
With the change of season and cold weather setting in, now is the time to start taking care of yourself and supporting our immune system.
Here are some helpful reminders and tips to keep you healthy this season:
Go to bed!
The body benefits most from getting to sleep around 10pm to complete all it’s beneficial restorative and regenerative processes
Stick to warm and cooked foods:
These are easier for the body to digest and require less energy, especially when the body is busy fighting something off
Consider your pungent and aromatic herbs and foods:
Ginger, onion, garlic, cayenne, cinnamon, clove etc.
Not only are these warming, but also benefit the immune system
Actually rest!
And here I don’t mean sleep, I mean take it easy and actually take the time to relax. The winter season reminds us to keep quiet, stay warm, and take rest and conserve our energy (off devices!)
